Overchuk: Moscow and Baku can reach $5 billion in trade volume in 2023

Russia and Azerbaijan plan to increase the volume of mutual trade up to $5 billion, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk said at the international economic forum Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum, according to Report.

"The volume of our trade is growing steadily, in 2022, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $4,170 million. This was a very noticeable increase, by almost 24.5%. This year we have good growth, and we expect at least we planned to reach $5 billion in trade," Overchuk said.

According to the results of 2021, the volume of trade between Azerbaijan and Russia increased by 12.1% compared to 2020 and reached $2.99 billion. The share of trade operations with Russia in 2022 amounted to 8.83% of Azerbaijan's total foreign trade turnover.
