Azerbaijan allocated 856.9 million manats ($504.058 million) from its state budget last year for measures to combat climate change, Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship of the Azerbaijani Parliament Tahir Mirkishili said while discussing the bill “On the execution of the state budget for 2023” at today’s plenary session of parliament, Report informs.
Last year, climate change spending accounted for 2.35% of all budget expenditures.
