Orkhan Nazarli: Share of Azerbaijan’s tax authorities in fiscal collections reaches 77%

In 2024, fiscal collections through the State Tax Service (STS) under the Economy Ministry of Azerbaijan amounted to 22.8 billion manats ($13.41 billion), Orkhan Nazarli, head of the STS, said at the “Tax Service – 25: Sustainable Development and Effective Transformation” forum held in Baku, Report informs.
Thus, the share of the STS in all fiscal collections has reached 77%, Nazarli stated.
"Last year, budget revenues through tax authorities exceeded 15.8 billion manats ($9.294 billion)," he noted.
The official further highlighted that compared to 2019, the number of active taxpayers in the country has increased 1.8 times, exceeding 800,000.
