Number of POS-terminals in Azerbaijan decreased by 8,000 units in 2016

Baku. 13 June. REPORT.AZ/ Total number of POS-terminals installed in the territory of Azerbaijan in April fell by 2.12% or 1603 units, and as of May 1 made 73 960 units.

Report informs referring to the Central Bank, in the beginning of the year this figure fell by 7.9% or 6,341 units, compared to the same period last year - by 5.23% or 4079 units.

42,762 units or 57.8% accounted for Baku city, 31,198 or 42.2% - regions.

Notably, on May 1, 2016 for every 130 persons of the population was one POS-terminal.
