Mikayil Jabbarov: Oil and gas and non-oil and gas budget revenues equalized

Despite the high prices for oil and gas this year, oil and gas and non-oil and gas revenues were approximately at the same level in state budget revenues, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov said in an interview with ITV.

"This indicates that the steps aimed at diversifying the Azerbaijani economy are bearing fruit. Naturally, the exit of the economy from the 'shadow' also plays a big role here. In the non-oil and gas sector, the bulk of tax payments are made by the private sector. This means that our private enterprises are becoming more profitable. We are seeing the same trend in state-owned enterprises," he said.
