Investments in Azerbaijan’s economy down 5%

From January through March this year, the funds directed to fixed capital in Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 4,907.0 billion ($1.392 billion), down 5.3 from the previous year, Report informs.
During the reporting period, investments in the oil and gas sector decreased by 2.1 percent, in the non-oil sector – by 7.9%.
In the structure of the investments, AZN 3,392.2 million or 69.1% of total investments was made in production spheres, AZN 1,143.2 million or 23.3% in services, AZN 371.6 million or 7.6% in construction of residential houses.
Domestic investments accounted for AZN 2,960.8 million, or 60.3% of total investments. AZN 3,287.1 million or 67.0% was spent on construction and installation work.
