Investments in Azerbaijan's economy rise by over 9%

Investment in fixed capital in Azerbaijan amounted to 7.984 billion manats (just under $4.7 billion) in the first half of 2024, marking a 9.4% growth year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
Over the past year, investments in the oil and gas sector rose by 4.5% and in the non-oil and gas sector - by 12.6%.
During the reporting period, 4.373 billion manats (over $2.63 billion), or 54.8%, were made in production, 2.747 billion manats ($1.61 billion), or 34.4%, in services, and 864.3 million manats ($508.4 million), or 10.8%, in housing construction.
Domestic funds constituted 80.8% or 6.452 billion manats (over $3.79 billion) of the investments directed to fixed capital.
