The Netherlands' largest banking group ING Group has updated its forecasts for the CBA's key rate for the next two years, Report informs.
Based on the Dutch financial giant's new estimates, the CBA's key rate will be 7.25% in 2025 and 7.75% in 2026, which is 0.25 percentage points higher compared to previously stated expectations.
On December 18, 2024, the CBA Board decided to maintain the key rate at the current level of 7.25%. The lower limit of the interest rate corridor remained at 6.25%, while the upper limit stayed at 8.25%. The CBA's next decision on this matter is expected to be made in January.
