Inflation hits 12 percent in Azerbaijan

Baku. 14 November. REPORT.AZ/ Prices for consumer products rose by 11.6% in January-October in comparison with the same period of 2015.

Report informs referring to State Statistics Committee, annual inflation rates for various categories of consumer goods and services is as follows: food products -13.4%, non-food products - 16.3%, consumer services - 5.4%.

Upsurge of prices for consumer products during September - October of this year featured 1.3%, including 2.3% for food products, 1.1% for non-food products and 0.2% for services.

Notably, during January-September 2016, prices for consumer goods and services rose 11.2% comparing to the same period of 2015, including foodstuffs - 12.7%, non-food products - 15.9 and consumer services - 5.2%.

2.3% rise in prices was recorded in the period from August to September of this year, including foodstuffs - 4.0%, non-food products - 1.6%, consumer services - 0.6%.
