Huseyn Huseynov: Value of green economy to exceed $4 trillion by 2030

The value of the green economy was approximately $1.5 trillion in 2022, and this figure is projected to exceed $4 trillion by 2030, according to Huseyn Huseynov, the head of the Sustainable Development and Social Policy Department of the Economy Ministry of Azerbaijan, Report informs.

Huseynov shared this insight at a conference titled "The Impact of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence on Workplaces" dedicated to World Occupational Safety Day and the 120th anniversary of the first collective agreement.

According to him, based on the forecasts of the International Energy Agency, the clean energy market volume is expected to reach $1.5 trillion by 2025.

"At the same time, thanks to the application of artificial intelligence technologies, the process of tracking carbon emissions will be 50% faster and more accurate by 2025. We cannot fall behind these global trends. Strategic documents have already been prepared and development directions have been determined in this regard," Huseynov highlighted.
