Gold prices stable during morning trading

Gold prices changed a little on October 18 morning, remaining close to $1,665 per troy ounce, Report informs referring to the auction data.
The December futures price for gold on the New York Comex rose by $0.45, or 0.03%, to $1,664.45 per troy ounce. December futures for silver rose 0.54% to $18.82 an ounce.
Bidders are cautious in anticipation of economic forecasts. Markets almost unanimously expect the US Federal Reserve to raise the discount rate in November at the same pace - by another 0.75 percentage points.
At the same time, investors continue to monitor the situation in the UK, where they canceled almost all planned measures to support the country’s economy, developed by the former Finance Minister Kwasi Kwarteng.
