Gold prices fall slightly

Gold prices declined slightly on March 15 morning, remaining above $1,900 per troy ounce, Report informs referring to the auction data.
The price of April gold futures on the New York Comex exchange fell by $5.9, or 0.31%, to $1,905 per troy ounce. May futures for silver fell 0.94% to $21.832 an ounce.
Annual inflation in the US in February expectedly slowed to 6% from 6.4% a month earlier, becoming the lowest since September 2021. At the same time, the indicator remains well above the target level of 2%. On a monthly basis, US consumer prices rose 0.4% in February after growing 0.5% a month earlier, also in line with forecasts.
