Georgia’s imports from Azerbaijan up over 55%

In January-February 2022, the trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan amounted to $248,812,500, Report informs, citing the National Statistics Office of Georgia.
According to the Office, with a share of 9.8% in the total trade turnover of Georgia, Azerbaijan was the third trade partner of this country after Turkiye and Russia.
In the reporting period, Georgia’s exports to Azerbaijan increased by 39.1% to $92,336,200, while imports from Azerbaijan grew by 55.5% to $156,476,400.
With a share of 12.1% in total exports of Georgia, Azerbaijan ranked third after China and Russia. Having an 8.8% share in the import operations, Azerbaijan followed Turkiye and Russia.
