Forecast for customs duties in Azerbaijan increased by 3%

The Azerbaijani government expectts the revenue from customs duties at 1.332 billion manats ($782.4 million) next year, Report informs, referring to the bill on the 2023 state budget.
According to the document, this is 2.5% more than the approved forecast for 2022.
In 2023, the revenues of the state budget of Azerbaijan are expected at 30.720 billion manats ($18 billion), and the expenses are expected at 33.3 billion manats ($19.6 billion). These are 5.2% and 3.1% higher than the approved forecasts for 2022, respectively. As a result, a deficit of 2.579 billion manats ($1.5 billion) is expected to be in the state budget. This is 16.95% less than the previous year.
