Compared to the outlook of the "Standard and Poor's" ("S&P") in June of this year, the Finance Ministry positively assesses the affirmation of Azerbaijan's long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating (IDR) at 'BB+' with a positive outlook by Fitch Ratings, Report informs, citing the ministry.
“However, Fitch Ratings’ figures, forecasts, as well as assessments are inaccurate and controversial and were not accepted by Azerbaijan. The ministry considers it necessary and useful for the representatives of the agency to obtain and use the comments of the relevant state bodies of Azerbaijan on the information and evaluations reflected in the report, without harming the independence and objectivity of the rating,” the ministry said.
