Erdogan: 'We plan to reduce inflation to 4.7% by end of 2028'

By the end of 2028, inflation in Türkiye is planned to be reduced to a single-digit level - 4.7%, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan wrote on X, while announcing the 12th Development Plan, which defines the country's Road Map for the next 5 years, Report informs.
"In 2028, we plan to increase the country's national income to $1,589 billion and the per capita income to $17,554. We expect the unemployment rate to fall to 7.5% by the end of the period, with employment growth averaging 3% each year. We aim to reduce the current account deficit to close to zero by increasing exports to $375 billion and tourism revenues to $100 billion.
"I hope that the 12th Development Plan will be useful to guide our state and nation on the way to the Turkish century," Erdogan said in a post.
