Donald Trump asks US Congress for $1 trln for infrastructure investment

Baku. 1 March. REPORT.AZ/ In his first speech to a joint session of the US Congress, Donald Trump said he wants Congress to approve $1 trillion in infrastructure investment, "financed through both public and private capital." Report informs citing the foreign media, he claimed that injection would create "millions of new jobs."

"America has spent approximately $6 trillion in the Middle East, all this while our infrastructure at home is crumbling. With this $6 trillion we could have rebuilt our country - twice. And maybe even three times if we had people who had the ability to negotiate", Trump said.

Earlier, Swiss investor Marc Faber said in an interview with CNBC channel that, decisions made by the US administration will lead to printing new dollars. Economic policy will result to an increase in raw material prices, he said.
