Deputy Minister: Liberation of Azerbaijan’s lands creates new investment opportunity

Azerbaijan continues to improve the investment environment, Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Mammadov said, Report informs.

While speaking at the 8^th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Romania Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Trade, Economic Relations, and Scientific-Technical Cooperation, which was held in Baku, Mammadov stated that the creation of industrial zones plays an important role in this issue.

The deputy minister noted that the liberation of the occupied territories of Azerbaijan opened up new investment opportunities: "Protecting the environment of Karabakh is one of the main tasks in the restoration of the liberated territories."

Mammadov emphasized that the statistical indicators of the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Romania do not reflect the full potential of bilateral cooperation: "We call for further promotion and support of initiatives that will serve the development of mutually beneficial partnerships."
