The capital market in Azerbaijan creates an opportunity to attract funds only for the financial sector, said Samir Ismayilov, the Deputy Director of the Capital Markets Policy and Supervision Department at the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
"The participation of the real sector in this market is limited,” he said.
“If the participation of other companies in the capital market increases, the market can operate more effectively and efficiently,” he noted.
However, according to Ismayilov, 25 emission prospects were approved in the country in January-October of this year, which is a record indicator: “This figure was 3 in 2019, 11 in 2020, and 20 in 2021.”
