CBA launches Actuarial Development Program

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), jointly with the Azerbaijan Insurers Association PU, has launched the Actuarial Development Program to form a new generation of actuaries with modern knowledge and skills in the country, Report informs, citing CBA.

According to the information, the program is implemented with the support of the Turkish Insurance Institute Foundation (TSEV) and local experts and will last for 15 months. In addition to theoretical knowledge, the participants will also have the opportunity to get practice in the insurance sector.

On December 19, a meeting was held with 90 people who will participate in the Actuarial Development Program at CBA. At the meeting, the objectives and requirements of the program were explained in detail to the participants, and necessary recommendations were given for successful participation in the program. As reported, for those who complete the program, opportunities will be provided to continue working in the relevant profession in the insurance sector.

"CBA continues its large-scale strategic activities for continuous and sustainable development of the insurance sector. One of the intensively implemented projects in this direction is to expand insurers' personnel potential. The framework of this project serves to increase the professional knowledge and skills of employees of insurance companies, as well as those who want to work in the sector. Training programs are being organized at the international level in various professional categories in the insurance field. The development of the actuarial field, which has an important role in measuring the financial stability of insurance companies, is among the priorities of the CBA," the bank said.
