CBA holds discussions on strategic initiatives on Islamic banking

Strategic initiatives that will contribute to the development of Islamic banking were discussed between the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) and the AlHuda Centre of Islamic Banking & Economics, Report informs, citing the CBA.
According to the bank, the First Deputy Chairman of the CBA, Aliyar Mammadyarov, received the Chief Executive Director of the centre, Muhammad Zubair Mughal.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on current economic trends, strategic initiatives that will contribute to the development of Islamic banking within the framework of the "Strategy for the development of the financial sector in 2024-2026," and the necessary regulatory changes in this regard, and cooperation prospects were discussed.
