CAREC: Combating climate change - top priority for ADB

Addressing climate change is a top priority for the Asian Development Bank (ADB), director of the CAREC Institute Shakeel Shah said at the 6th CAREC Think Tank Development Forum held in Baku.
"The ADB aims to raise its climate finance ambition to $100 billion between 2019 and 2030," he added.
According to him, ADB supported member countries, including Azerbaijan, through CAREC and other initiatives in the Central and Western Asia region with technical and financial, potential, knowledge exchange:
"Such supports help promote environmental sustainability and decarbonization of economic development in regions.
"Today's forum is an essential platform for discussing urgent regional issues."
