Bitcoin exceeds $ 24,000 for first time

Bitcoin has updated its historical maximum. During the trade, the cryptocurrency value surged past $ 24,000, Report says, citing Kommersant.
It is evidenced by data from CoinMarketCap, which calculates the average price of bitcoin on 20 exchanges.
As of 01:24 Baku time, the price of bitcoin dropped to $ 23,738,000. But in seven days, the cryptocurrency gained 24%. Now the main rates of cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, are falling slightly. Within a week, Ethereum grew by 9.87% ($ 645) and XRP by 10.74% ($ 0.57).
The rapid rise in the virtual currency takes place against the weakening dollar background and the growing demand for cryptocurrencies by institutional and large private investors.
