Baku Stock Exchange turnover jumps 54%

The total value of transactions on all financial instruments of the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) in January 2024 amounted to 2,269,040,000 manats ($1.33 billion), increasing by 54.1% in comparison to the previous year, Report informs.
Over the past year, the number of concluded transactions decreased by 1.5% to 929.
Repo operations doubled to 1,605,236,000 manats ($0.94 billion), accounting for 70.7% of BSE's turnover.
During the reporting period, the value of state securities dropped by 21.5% to 507.623 million manats ($298.6 million), and the transactions on the corporate securities market increased by 4.3 times to 156.182 million manats ($91.87 million).
