Baku Stock Exchange turnover down 19%

The total value of transactions on all financial instruments of the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) for January-August this year amounted to 8,637.6 million manats ($5.08 billion), decreasing by 19.2% from the previous year, Report informs.
Over the past year, the number of concluded transactions has decreased 25.8% to 5,534.
State securities accounted for 4,735.371 million manats ($2.79 billion), or 54.8% of the BSE turnover, which is 19.4% less than a year earlier.
The value of transactions in the corporate securities market increased by about 2.3 times to 621.050 million manats ($365.32 million) during the reporting period, and repo transactions went down 27.7% to 3,280.879 million manats ($1.93 billion).
