Baku Stock Exchange sees 36% drop in turnover

In January-June 2020, deals on all financial instruments of the Baku Stock Exchange amounted to AZN 4,742.8 million, down 35.9% from the previous year.
According to Report, the number of deals closed in the past six months dropped 8.7% to 2,199.
Meanwhile, government securities constituted 62.5% or AZN 2,963.7 million of the BSE turnover, which is 61.5% less than a year earlier.
Deals on the corporate securities market rose 3.4-fold to AZN 1,019.6 million, while repo operations showed a 73.5% increase, reaching AZN 759.4 million.
