Baku Stock Exchange sees 2.4-fold growth in transactions

The total value of transactions on all financial instruments of the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) in January-July 2024, exceeded 23.827 billion manats ($14.016 billion), marking a 2.4-fold growth year-on-year, Report informs.
Over the past year, the number of concluded transactions rose by 33.7% to 8,709.
Some 76.6% of BSE's turnover, or more than 18.243 billion manats (over $10.731 billion), was accounted for repo operations, which is 3.7 times more than a year ago.
During the reporting period, the value of transactions on state securities increased by 7.5% to 4.329 billion manats (just over $2.546 billion), and the value of transactions on the corporate securities market rose by 64.8% to almost 1.255 billion manats (just under $738.2million).
