Azerbaijani banks see 5% rise in provision of crediting

As of August 1, 2021, the provision of crediting by Azerbaijan-based banks amounted to AZN 15,367.7 million, which is 0.7% higher than a month earlier, Report informs, referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

This figure increased by 5.8% compared to the beginning of the year, by 5.4% in comparison to a year ago.

Provision of crediting by private banks increased by 4.2% to AZN 12,093,000,000 (78.7% of total provision of crediting), while state banks’ provision of crediting rose 10.3% to AZN 2,873,500,000.

The provision of crediting by Non-Banking Credit Institutions (NBCI) made up AZN 401.2 million, up 5.3% from the previous year.
