Azerbaijani banks get 23% rise in manat deposits

As of April 1, 2021, the manat deposits in the Azerbaijani banks amounted to AZN 9,722.3 million, up 6.6% from the previous month, 2.1% from early 2021 and 23% from a year earlier, Report informs, citing Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The deposits in foreign currencies accounted for AZN 8,979.6 million in the reporting period, showing a 0.1% decrease in comparison to a month ago. At the same time, this figure is 1.1% up from the beginning of the year, 12.6% down from 2020.
