Azerbaijan to spend over $3B on socio-economic development strategy in 2024

Next year in Azerbaijan, 5.5 billion manats ($3.23 billion) are planned to be allocated from the state budget for the implementation of the “2022-2026 socio-economic development strategy," Report informs, citing the opinion of the Chamber of Accounts on the bill “On the 2024 state budget.”
According to the document, 4 billion manats ($2.35 billion), or 72.6%, of those funds will be spent on the reconstruction and restoration of the liberated territories, 1.1 billion manats ($640 million), or 20%, on investment costs, 409.1 million manats ($240.46 million), or 7.4%, will be current expenditure.
