Azerbaijan to make sustainability standards mandatory for businesses

Azerbaijan plans to make the implementation of sustainability standards mandatory for businesses operating in the country, Azer Bayramov, the Deputy Minister of Finance, said at the 8th Eurasian Forum of Accountants and Auditors held in Baku, according to Report.
"The issue needs to be legislated, and work is currently underway in this direction," stated Bayramov.
He noted that several companies in Azerbaijan have already taken proactive steps by adopting sustainability-related standards.
