Azerbaijan to increase defense and security spending by 6%

In 2024, defense and security expenses in Azerbaijan are expected to be 6,421 million (+6%) manats ($3.8 billion), Report informs, citing the Ministry of Finance.

In order to further strengthen the country's defense capability and national security, it is planned to create a financial security of 3 billion manats ($1.8 billion) in the state budget of 2024 for the modernization of the material and technical supply of the army and the continuation of measures related to increasing the military potential.
