Azerbaijan spends over $110M on its missions abroad

In 2023, 189.6 million manats (about $111.5 million) were spent from the state budget of Azerbaijan for the maintenance of missions abroad, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said, Report informs
He made the remark during the discussion of the bill "On the implementation of the 2023 state budget" at the meeting of the Economic Policy, Industries and Enterprising Committee of Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (Parliament) on May 23.
The minister stated that 186 million manats (about $109.4 million) of these funds were spent on maintaining diplomatic missions, and 3.6 million manats (about $2.11 million) on trade missions.
