Azerbaijan sees nearly 20% decline in trade surplus

In January-February 2021, Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $ 4,399,900,000, down 12.6% from the previous year, Report states, citing the State Customs Committee.
Export operations made up $ 2.788 billion, while import operations totaled $ 1.618 billion, respectively down 14.2% and 9.8% year-on-year.
Consequently, the trade surplus stood at $ 1.176 billion, which is 19.6% less than a year earlier.
