Azerbaijan sees increase in problematic loans

As of April 1, 2025, the amount of overdue loans in Azerbaijan amounted to 481.6 million manats ($283.3 million), Report informs with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
This figure is 0.3% more compared to March 1.
The amount of non-performing loans in the country increased by 7.2% compared to the beginning of the year, and by 2.3% year-on-year.
At the end of March, the share of overdue loans in the total loan portfolio was 1.6%. This ratio was also 1.6% at the end of February, 1.5% at the end of December, and 1.9% at the end of March last year.
As of April 1, the loan portfolio of banks amounted to 26.276 billion manats ($15.45 billion) The sector's loan portfolio has grown by 15.7% year-on-year.
