Azerbaijan's strategic foreign currency reserves reach $73B

In January-August this year, Azerbaijan's strategic currency reserves increased by 6.1%, reaching $72.6 billion, Report informs referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
"In the first half of the year, the country's current account balance of payments had a surplus of $2.6 billion or 7.5% of the gross domestic product (GDP). In the foreign trade balance, which is the main component of the current account, a positive balance of $5.5 billion was recorded for 8 months," the report says.
