Azerbaijan's services balance remains in deficit, says CBA

In the first nine months of 2024, Azerbaijan's services balance deficit amounted to approximately $1.6 billion, Samir Nasirov, Director of the Statistics Department at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), said during a briefing, Report informs.
According to Nasirov, this is 8.5% less than in the same period last year.
"The deficit was mainly due to construction and other business services. However, there was a surplus of $862 million in transport services and $359 million in tourism services over the same period," noted the CBA official.
