Azerbaijan's insurance market grows 9%

From January through June of this year, 20 Azerbaijan-based insurance companies collected 491.605 million manats ($289.611 million) of insurance premiums, 8.7% more than in the first half of 2021, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
The amount of payments made by insurance companies during the reporting period amounted to 174.923 million manats ($103 million), 29.5% less than a year ago.
According to the bank, 35.6 manats ($20.9) were paid for every 100 manats ($58.91) collected in the insurance market from January through June 2022, while this figure was 54.9 manats ($32.3) last year.
