Azerbaijan's foreign state debt composition revealed

Azerbaijan's foreign state debt amounted to $5.067 billion as of April 1, 2025, Report informs with reference to the country's Ministry of Finance.
The US dollar made 85.6% of the debt.
According to the ministry, the debt composition included euro at 6%, SDR (International Monetary Fund's Special Drawing Rights) at 3.5%, Japanese yen at 3.3%, and other currencies at 1.6%.
Obligations with variable interest rates constituted 48.9% of the foreign debt, while those with fixed rates made up 51.1%.
As much as 49.9% of the foreign state debt must be repaid to creditors within a period of up to 5 years, 44.2% within a period of 5 to 10 years, and 5.9% within a period of more than 10 years.
