Azerbaijan's Customs Committee posts 24% increase in budget transfers

In January-May 2022, the State Customs Committee (SCC) transferred 2.064 billion manats ($0.97 billion) to the state budget, marking an increase of 24.2% from the previous year, the Committee told Report.
In the reporting period, revenues from customs duties increased by 13.5% to 541.391 million manats ($318.47 million), from value-added tax (VAT) rose by 30.4% to 1.472 billion manats ($0.87 billion), from excises dropped 14% to 53.471 million manats ($31.45 million), and from road tax went up by 36.45% to 23.333 million manats ($13.73 million).
