A delegation led by Nasir Sadigov, Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan's Chamber of Accounts, participated in the 3rd SAI20 Summit held in Belem, Brazil, at the invitation of the host country.
Accprding to Report, during the event, the Azerbaijani delegation delivered a presentation, and a joint communique was adopted at the end of the Summit. The communique acknowledges the urgent need for global initiatives to address sustainable development, combat poverty and hunger, and ensure effective climate action, with a specific emphasis on fostering just and inclusive energy transitions.
On the sidelines of the Summit, Nasir Sadigov met with Bruno Dantas, the President of the Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) and Chair of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions, to discuss cooperation between their respective institutions.
SAI20, or Supreme Audit Institution 20, is the engagement group of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) from the countries that make up the G20. The group plays an important role in overseeing the implementation of G20 commitments while offering support for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations (UN).
