Azerbaijan's budget revenues from VAT on imported goods to increase

Next year, Azerbaijan's state budget is expected to receive 2.91 million manats ($2.51 million) from the value-added tax (VAT) on imported goods, Report informs, citing the draft law "On the state budget envelope for 2022."
According to the document, this figure is 6.2% higher than the approved forecast for 2021.
The increase in the forecast is due to the expected growth of imports in the non-oil sector, as well as the rise in the tax base.
