Azerbaijan posts over 66% surge in non-cash transactions in Nakhchivan

In 2024, the turnover of non-cash transactions in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan exceeded 1 billion manats ($588.2 million), marking a 66.2% increase year-on-year, Report informs, referring to the Economy Ministry of the autonomous republic.
Additionally, the number of registered POS terminals in Nakhchivan saw a remarkable rise in 2024, increasing by 76% compared to the previous year, and reaching a total of 2,036. The turnover through these registered POS terminals also witnessed a substantial growth, climbing by 38.8% to reach 112 million manats (almost $65.9 million).
