Azerbaijan posts growth in investment in financial sector

Baku. 20 September. REPORT.AZ/ Capital investment in financial and insurance activity amounted to AZN 7.2 mln in January-August 2018, up 2.7-fold from the previous year, Report informs citing the State Statistical Committee.

The share of this sector in investments in country’s economy made up 0.1%.

According to the official statistics, 54.9% of investments in January-August 2018 was made in industry, 19.6% in construction, 13.4% in transport and logistics, 1.5% in health, 1.3% in education, 0.5% in each of administrative and auxiliary services, activity in recreation, entertainment and art, 0.4% in trade, repair of transport facilities, 0.2% in tourist accommodation and catering, 0.1% in each of financial and insurance, and other services.
