Azerbaijan and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have exchanged views on the draft of the new Country Partnership Strategy for 2025-2029 and discussed areas of future cooperation, Report informs referring to the Ministry of Finance.
Today, Minister Sahil Babayev received a delegation led by Asian Development Bank Vice President for South, Central and West Asia Yingming Yang. During the meeting, the long-term cooperation between Azerbaijan and ADB, as well as the bank's ongoing support for the country's development goals, were highly appreciated.
The important role of the ADB office in Baku in effectively coordinating joint projects and formulating national priorities was noted.
The sides paid special attention to the development of transport infrastructure in Baku and adjacent areas, expansion of the Baku Metro network, improvement of drinking water supply, reduction of water losses and efficient wastewater management.
Prospects for cooperation in the field of renewable energy and modernization of logistics and transport infrastructure along the international North-South and Middle Corridors were also discussed.
