Azerbaijan exports over $2.9 million of insurance services this year

Nearly 9,000 insurance contracts were issued for vehicles registered in Kazakhstan and Georgia, and about 5 million manats (over $2.9 million) of insurance premiums were collected within the framework of the Green Card system in January-June of this year.

Report informs, citing the Bureau of Compulsory Insurance, that nearly 7,000 insurance contracts were concluded for vehicles registered in Kazakhstan, and 2,000 insurance contracts were concluded for vehicles registered in Georgia.

During the period and for the first time under this system, Azerbaijani insurers exported insurance services worth about 5 million manats ($2.9 million). During the corresponding period, an insurance payment in the amount of 2,500 manats (over $1,470) was made in cases of accidents involving vehicles registered in Kazakhstan and Georgia.
