Azerbaijan-based banks see 13% rise in assets

Baku. 17 December. REPORT.AZ/ As of November 1, 2018, the assets of the Azerbaijan-based banks stood at AZN 29,690,200,000, up 12.8% from the previous year, Report informs citing the Financial Markets Supervisory Authority.

Of this, AZN 10,352,700,000 or 34.9% were the loans issued to customers. The loan portfolio grew by 2.95%.

The overall liabilities rose by 9.9% to AZN 25,518,200,000, including deposit portfolio grew by 18.6% to AZN 18,548,200,000, with individuals accounting for AZN 8,057,900,000 and legal entities forAZN 10,490,400,000.  The deposits of the population in the banks increased by 11.1%, companies’ deposits by 25%.

Liabilities of the banking sector to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan dropped by 30.4% to AZN 394.6 million.

The total capital ascended by 34.8% to AZN 4,172,000,000.
