Average monthly salary exceeds $600 in Baku

In January-August 2022, the average monthly nominal salary of hired workers was 1,068 ($627.3) manats (+13.3%), Report informs, citing the Baku City Statistics Department.

In January-August 2022, the average monthly nominal salary of hired workers in Azerbaijan's economy increased by 14.1% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 829 manats ($487). The salary was 3,485.5 manats ($2,047) in the oil and gas sector, and 778.1 manats ($457) in the non-oil and gas sector. The salary of employees working in state-owned enterprises was 780.1 manats ($458.82), and in private enterprises, 884.5 manats ($519).
