Currently, inflation in Azerbaijan is 1.5 times higher than global inflation, said Ali Masimli, the chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee for Economic Policy, Industries and Entreprising, Report informs.
Last year, overall prices in Azerbaijan increased by 13.9%, and the prices of food products increased by around 20%. Although the prices of demanded food products are rising faster this isn’t taken into account. We only study imported inflation. The report of all official government circles, starting from the Cabinet of Ministers, reflects one branch of inflation - imported inflation. This is, to put it mildly, an incomplete issue,” he said.
