ADB: Poverty rate drops in Azerbaijan

The poverty level in Azerbaijan fell from 9.1% to 5.9% in 2010-2021, Report informs referring to the Key Indicators for Asia and the Pacific by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Moreover, according to the Bank, the proportion of the population covered by at least one social protection benefit dropped from 40.3% in 2016 to 39% in 2020. The proportion of the population above statutory pensionable age receiving a pension was 97% in 2000, 81.1% in 2016, and 72.8% in 2020.
